Egypt: Dr Amr Talaat, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Egypt, is visiting India from January 9 to 13th. Talaat seeks cooperation with the Director General of the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology India in digital capacity building.
As per the recent updates, MCIT minister Amr Talaat met with Micro Max and Play officials during his visit, where he reviewed investment opportunities in the field of mobile phones and their accessories in Egypt.
Furthermore, Siemens Healthcare ITT Medical Technology Innovative Research Center officials meet to research collaboration in supporting digital innovation, entrepreneurship and digital capacity building.
As per the sources, Dr Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, also attended a meeting with Dr Madan Mohan Tripathi, Director General of the National Institute of Information Technology and Electronics (NIELIT), in the Indian capital New Delhi.
During the meeting, several ways of cooperation were discussed in the development field of Digital skills under the initiatives and programs offered by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to build capacity and train youth on the latest global technologies in IT.
In addition, the meeting discussed ways of association among the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, along with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, in developing capacities in various sectors such as,
- Information Technology
- Electronics Design
- Artificial Intelligence
The MCIT minister further added that, through the implementation of training programs in cooperation With IT Institute and schools of Applied Technology in Egypt, as well as training students affiliated with the Builders of Digital Egypt initiative.
Additionally, Amr Talaat noted that NIT follows the Ministry of Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology of India; specialises in providing education and formal and informal training.
The formal and informal education will further provide a number of training programs in the fields of technology, granting diplomas and master’s degrees in communication science and information technology, including specialities in artificial intelligence and cyber security, Blockchain, and e-design has virtual learning programs.
The reports have also confirmed that Dr Amr Talat met with Mr Vikas Jain, micro max mobile manufacturing company and Mr Rohan Agarwal, General Manager PLAY for mobile accessories and chargers.
The two companies plans to expand in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa markets were discussed, as ways to research Increased investments in electronic manufacturing, making Egypt a regional hub for the two companies in the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The meeting saw a review of Egypt’s “manufacture Electronics” strategy, highlighting incentives offered by the Egyptian government for local manufacturing of mobile phones and electronics.
