The Environment Minister of Egypt, Dr Yasmin Fouad, left to visit a sister state of the United Arab Emirates yesterday, January 15, to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit to be held from January 1 to 30. The summit will discuss major issues related to common interests such as food, energy and security.
As per the information, Minister Yasmin Fouad also addressed that from cop27 to cop28, the necessity to ensure the climate ambition continues to be raised in the upcoming climate conference and beyond.
Several bilateral meetings are to be held during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit from 1 to January 30, discussing a variety of issues and policies during the visit of Environmental Minster Yasmin Fouad.
Furthermore, the Egyptian Minister of Environment pointed out the importance of this summit, focusing on expanding the role of innovative and qualitative technologies and discussing food and energy security issues.
In addition, Minister Fouad also stated that as well as how to form supporting structures that contribute to stimulating climate action and discussing ways to provide sustainable food supplies It keeps tandem with efforts to achieve climate neutrality.
The reports have said that the Egyptian Environment Minister will participate in a high-level event during the summit “The Road to COP 28: Ambition, Holism and Equality”, which will be held at the World Energy Forum of the Atlantic Council 2023 to discuss how to manage the climate change issue in many communities around the world.
Additionally, Yasmin Fouad stated that risks are mounting as global warming gas emissions continue to rise at an alarming rate. How can the COP28 climate conference deliver real action, enable a fairer and more equitable energy transition, and bridge the gaps between commitments and ambitions?
In her remarks, Minister Fouad extended that the summit will hold great importance in giving the opportunities to build a continuous dialogue between stakeholders and translate commitments into practical solutions.
The Abu Dhabi, Sustainability Week Summit, will see a smooth stay of events that will take place throughout the week by engaging all categories of the community where the General Association of the International Renewable Energy Agency Irina.
