Jordan: The Minister of the Environment, Education and scientific research of Jordan, Muawya Radaida, attended a joint meeting held at the building of the Ministry of Education with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr Najwa Qibilat, to discuss cooperation among them in several aspects.
According to the reports, the meeting was held on Monday, 27 February 2023, at the office of the Ministry of Education, Jordan. The main focus of the forum was to emphasise the coordination among both authorities in the field of raising environmental awareness among students of schools and universities.
In addition to the importance of preserving the Environment in its various elements, and instilling values of responsibility, in an established way to build a community culture in students, be able to build a generation that is blessed with a healthy and safe environment for them and their community, said the Minister of Environment.
Furthermore, During the meeting, the pivotal role played by the Ministries of Environment, Education, and Scientific Research, was also discussed in instilling a positive culture in students of schools and universities, the direction of environmental issues and specifically the cleanliness of schools, universities and classrooms, and thus reflecting on their Environment to include family and society in general.
“Raising students’ awareness of the importance and protection of the tree, launching afforestation-related initiatives, including the boundaries of schools and universities, is an essential part of instilling a positive culture in them,” said the Minister.
On his part, the Minister of Education, and Scientific Research, Dr Azmi Governorate, pointed out the importance of the vital role that students of schools and universities play in building communities of Jordan.
The pioneering role in establishing and building for their rise and prosperity, along with their ability to make a change and interact with environmental issues, were also considered during the event.
In addition, they know how to responsibly preserve their school and university environment. A firm conviction on the importance of environmental conservation was also a part of the discussion.
