Jordan: Jordanian Public Security Department recently updated regarding a rescue operation conducted by the Civil Defence Services where the officers successfully rescued three people from an unfortunate accident when they were drowning in the Dead Sea.

Jordan: Jordanian Public Security Department recently updated regarding a rescue operation conducted by the Civil Defence Services where the officers successfully rescued three people from an unfortunate accident when they were drowning in the Dead Sea.

According to the shared reports, the news was shared by the Jordanian Public Security officials through the official social media handle of the department yesterday, March 10, 2023. In the update shared by the department’s Facebook account, the officials stated, “Civil defence saves three people from drowning in the Dead Sea.”

The reports also noted that the after the information came into the department regarding the drowning of the three civilians, the first emergency response team took immediate action and reached the spot near the water body.

After the incident, the official from the Public Security Department of Jordan further took it to confirm that “Civil defence diving teams were able to rescue three people from drowning in the Dead Sea after currents pulled them to deeper areas more than 30m offshore.”

The Civil Defences diving teams have shown exceptional efforts while responding to the incident with immediate effect, which resulted in a positive outcome as the divers were able to save all three people who were drowning in the dead sea, reports noted.

Moreover, it was also reported that “Civil defence divers responded to the incident from the Dead Sea Martyrs Center and were able to reach the people with a water rescue boat and were able to get them out in a timely manner, and in coordination with the Royal Navy.”

He added that the necessary first aid had been provided to the injured, who suffered from exhaustion as a result of swimming, and their overall condition was described as good and did not require transport to the hospital.

In the end, the citizen’s media spokesman said the need to exercise maximum caution while swimming in the Dead Sea and not to venture into depths far from the shore to avoid drowning.
