Egypt: ESR Minister, Ayman Ashour evaluates ministry’s activities for past week

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Egypt, Dr Ayman Ashour, issued a statement regarding the harvest of activities of the Ministry in a week.

Egypt: The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Egypt, Dr Ayman Ashour, issued a statement regarding the harvest of activities of the Ministry in a week. A report on the performance of the Ministry’s activities was issued during a week in the period from March 25 to March 31 and was as follows:

1) The Supreme Council of Universities held a periodic meeting chaired by Dr Ayman Ashour, Minister of HESR. The Minister stated that the Council has agreed to cancel the ability tests for students with general high school certificates and their equivalent (foreign – Arabic) and technical high school certificates for colleges (Media – Nursing – Technical Institute of Nursing – Institutes Health Technology – Technological Universities – Colleges of Technology and Industrial Education).

The Council emphasized the continuation of ability tests in colleges (sports education – musical education – artistic education – specific education “art – musical – educational theatre” – applied arts – fine arts “arts – architecture ” – education “art – music”).

The Council has agreed to abolish the regional distribution rules for general high school certificates and their equivalent (foreign – Arabic) and technical certificates for admission to colleges (Nursing – Education – Qualitative Education – Health Technical Institutes – Technical Institutes of Nursing) with the effect of admission in the academic year 2023/2024.

2) Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, met with a number of advisors and cultural affiliates of the countries (Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Sudan, Mauritania, Djibouti, South Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, Guinea, Burkinafaso, Garz Qamar, Zambia, Chad) to research the face of joint cooperation in developing the Egyptian arrival system.

The Egyptian higher education system has come a long way in the field of overall development and modernization; to be able to fulfil its role and deliver its academic and community message as per the outspoken, and be able to provide services to its Egyptian students and expatriates, researchers, community, and meet development processes, local, regional and international labour market.

3) The Board of Directors of the Institute of Petroleum Research held a meeting chaired by Eng. Tariq Al Mullah, Minister of Oil and Minerals, wd. Minister of HESR, Ayman Ashour, in the presence of the honourable members of the Board of Directors, at the headquarters of the Institute.

The Minister of Higher Education emphasized the importance of the state in supporting the scientific research file in Egypt, stressing the maximum utilization of research and practical potential and equipment at the Oil Research Institute; to support the industry sector in Egypt, citing the importance of the community and service role of centres, institutes and research bodies to solve social problems, linking scientific research to industry, and shifting ideas Researching products that are economically beneficial to the society.

4) Dr Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, held a meeting; to review the proposals for the development of the visual image of the circular road in the presence of Dr Ayman Ashour.

With Dr Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Dr Hossamuddin Abdel-Fattah, Dean of the College of Engineering, Cairo University, and Dr Akram Farouk, Agent of Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University, Dr Tariq Ibrahim, Director of the Institute for Architectural Design Support, Cairo University, and Dr Ayman Farid Hamza, Assistant to the Minister Ashour for Strategic Planning.

At the beginning of the meeting, the PM pointed out to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research earlier that the universities of Cairo and Ain Shams, through their two faculties of engineering, undertake a civilized visual image of the circular road, in light of the preparation for the inauguration ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), with the circular road being one of the main roads to get to the museum.

5) The Innovation Policies Committee held its first meeting headed by Dr Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Minister explained the importance of cooperation with economists and the private sector, confirmed Dr Ayman Ashour.

He also said that the Egyptian state attaches utmost importance to supporting innovation, and entrepreneurship, linking research products to industry, directing scientific research to serve the community, and facing challenges facing economic growth, to achieve the country’s sustainable development goals (Egypt Vision 2030), referring to the importance of community and service role of higher education institutions in the industry.

6) Met Dr Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the leaders and staff of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, in a collective breakfast.

And during the meeting, Dr pointed out. Ashour assured that the comprehensive health insurance carnies would be delivered to all employees of the Ministry, which allows the required tests, tests and radiation to be conducted in many hospitals free of charge.

The Minister explained that the employees would not bear any financial cost for this annual subscription, and the patients with chronic diseases under this carnival get the opportunity to spend the treatment at a big discount.

The employee bears only 20% of the cost of the treatment, thanking in advance to the Board of Directors of the Fund for the Improvement of Conditions of Government Universities Employees without the faculty Who helped in extracting carnations for all the ministry staff, may everyone be blessed with health, safety and wellness.
