Egypt: The executive head of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation, Mr Amr Al-Qadhy, held a number of professional meetings with senior tour organizers working in the Russian market at the headquarters of the Egyptian Embassy in the Russian capital Moscow.
The meeting aimed to showcase the ministry’s keenness to promote the Egyptian tourist destination in different tourist markets and attract more incoming tourists.
The meetings were held in the coordination and presence of Ambassador Nizah Al Najari, the ambassador of Egypt in Moscow. In addition, Mohamed Salama, Head of the Central Administration of Tourism Offices in the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activity, and Advisor Ahmed Medhat at the Egyptian Embassy in Moscow participated in these meetings.
These meetings come in order to define senior tour organizers working in the Russian market on the developments in Egypt’s tourism sector, indicators of tourism movement from the Russian market to the Egyptian tourist destination, and the volume of demand to visit Egypt in the coming period.
For his part, Professor Amr Al-Qadhi explained that the Russian market is one of the major markets for Egyptian tourism; it came in second place in terms of the number of tourists arriving in Egypt in 2022.
He pointed out that these meetings are a good opportunity to get to know the results of Egypt’s new promotional campaign, launched last March, in a number of tourist markets, including the Russian market.
On their part, tour organizers and professionals expressed their admiration for the idea and content of the campaign and its contribution to increasing demand to visit and support Egypt for the marketing efforts of tour organizers of Russia.
During these meetings, ways to strengthen the cooperation between the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation and tour organizers in the Russian market were discussed through the organization of joint advertising campaigns and a flight stimulus program to push tourist movement from Russia to Egypt further.
“The Efforts made by the Egyptian state to promote the Egyptian tourist destination were also reviewed,” said the reports.
Notably, the Executive President of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation also held a meeting with the Union of Russian Tour Organizers representatives to research enhancing the directions of cooperation with the Union and the possibility of holding its next annual meeting in Egypt.
