In the presence of Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference has begun in the capital city of Iran, Tehran. The conference calls for unity among the Islamic nation to protect the interest of the Islamic ummah.
Iranian President Raeisi said at the opening of the conference that, to deal with the enemy, the option of surrender and compromise has been removed, and now this option needs to be replaced by resistance.
He considered unity as a significant matter as its importance is increasing day by day in the Islamic world.
Speaking specifically, he stated that the concept of unity is not limited to a particular religion or geographical area, but it also includes unity and cohesion to protect the interests of the Islamic Ummah.
President recalls that in the past, the victory of Muslims had its roots in the unity and cohesion based on the Quran and the prophet. He also stressed that fulfilling the wishes of foreign nations will cause regret in future.
Further speaking president added that today’s system of domination led by a limited number of countries knows very well that the biggest barrier against their expansionist polices is the Islamic ummah. He also says that the enemy does not want the Islamic ummah to have unity and cohesion.
President also said that the attention should be paid to al-Quads and Palestine’s freedom by of the Islamic ummah. He emphasised that seeking normal relations with the Zionist regime is a sign of regression for any government because it is the will of foreigners; this is a regression.
He also highlighted the importance of resistance. As per him, the option of compromise and surrender has been removed now, and the option of resistance must be used to make the enemy retreat.
The speakers on the first day said that the purpose of the International Islamic Unity Conference is to create unity and solidarity among Muslim countries and their people. It also has the aim to develop consensus among scholars and scientists to approximate their scientific and cultural viewpoints and to present a practical approach for creating Islamic unity and a unified Islamic Ummah in the Islamic world to solve the problems of Muslims as well.
The guests of the conference were chosen from the well-educated and elite groups, along with ministers of Muslim countries, scholars and muftis, university professors and academicians.
A large number of thinkers, scholars, and reformers from around the world and thousands of the Shia and Sunni scholars from different parts of Iran have participated in the conference and presented their points of view.
Islamic thinkers from the countries like France, Syria, Libya, Palestine, Malaysia, Sudan, Afghanistan,Kuwait,Turkey, UAE,Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, etc., also participated in the conference.
