New Delhi, India: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) uncovered the identities of those responsible for the recent attack on the Indian High Commission in the United Kingdom on Wednesday. In a recent announcement, a lookout notice was issued by the NIA on Wednesday after the release of pictures of 45 people responsible for the attack at the Indian High Commission while disrespecting the Indian National Flag in London on March 19.
While extending the lookout notice to identify responsible people behind the attack, NIA wrote on Twitter that they had caused disrespect and deep sorrow to the Indian nationals along with the National Flag. Additionally, NIA requested the identification of the people who caused the attack on 19.03.23 in London; if anyone has some information about their location, please contact us at +917290009373 (sic).
In addition, the National Investigation Agency has also issued CCTV footage of the occurred Khalistani attack, which displays the whole incident. The CCTV footage consists of the attempted attack of over 2 hours on the Indian High Commission in the UK carried out by anti-national elements. The agency has also requested the people to provide information about the responsible people seen in the footage to the NIA.
Furthermore, it has been stated that the NIA has also issued a WhatsApp number to the people while encouraging them to report on the people seen in the CCTV footage while ensuring to keep their identity secret.
The reports stated that the Indian National Flag was pulled down by a pro-Khalistan protestor in London who climbed the balcony of the High Commission of India on March 19, 2023.
Following the incident, the video of the attack went viral on social media platforms in which the pro-khalistani protestor was seen attempting to pull down the Indian flag. Furthermore, another person climbed up to the balcony from inside to cause more harm to the flag, said reports.
Moreover, a large gathering of the Indian crowd was seen after the attack in front of the Indian High Commission, standing together against the “disrespectful act” by the Khalistan supporters towards the Indian flag. The Indian community also demanded the British government and Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to act against the perpetrators as soon as possible.
Solidarity with the Indian Flag – following the attack, refugees from all over the United Kingdom have come forward to stand together against the vandalization to express their solidarity with the Indian Flag and unity of India. The large Indian gathering has expressed their objection to the idea of Khalistan while saying they will not accept it.
On March 24, 2023, Delhi Police registered the case against the attack in front of the Indian High Commission in London on March 19 2023. The Ministry of External Affairs issued an official statement regarding the incident, asking Delhi Police to take demanded and appropriate actions.
Notably, the senior-most diplomat from the United Kingdom in New Delhi was summoned after the Indian High Commission was vandalized in the UK. He was summoned to express India’s strong protest following the actions conducted by extremist elements and separatists.
