Israel: The Department of Israeli Navy has recently shared a post conveying and appreciating the story of Cpl Mira Halevi, a military photographer. The unique story of the Israeli navy personnel was explained on the official social media handle of the Israeli Navy.
As per the post, the authorities have stated that Personal Friday: From China to America, to Israel – this is the unique story of Cpl Mira Halevi, a military photographer in the sea arm responsible for the beautiful pictures you see on this page and in many other places.
In her remarks, Cpl Mira Halevi recalled her old days when she shared her journey and stated, “At the age of 14, I went to Israel with my parents, and the first year in Israel was difficult. My school wasn’t needed to be better for me.
In addition, Halevi mentioned that “after I moved to the Yasa High School for Arts and Sciences, and expanded photography and drawing, I felt that I found my place and most of my professional knowledge came from there”.
Regarding pursuing a career as a military photographer, Mira Halevi cited, “At first I didn’t want to enlist”, “but my friends convinced me that it was a good idea and that I could contribute to the state. I was finally convinced, and I was not happy about this decision. I asked for an assignment for the role of a military photographer – and here I am.
In the end, Mira also pointed out the challenges and hurdles she has to face as a military photographer daily to capture photographs at different locations and hardships.
Mira Concluded, “Being a military photographer is a very intense job but also very rewarding. We work round the clock; we are at any time, anywhere. Along with the challenge also comes a great feeling of satisfaction,
to see my work published in the media and social networks, making people happy and influencing the army’s perception in public.”
