Riyadh: The General Entertainment Authority telecasted its Eid Celebrations Program 2022 on Monday, the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, which will persist until May 7, featuring several concerts, light displays and theatre shows.
They also launched a slogan, “The Best Eid,” the celebrations this year kicked off at 9 pm on Monday with fireworks shows in 13 regions and cities across the kingdom, including Madinah, Alkhobar, Najran, Abha, Baha, Tabuk, Arar, Sakaka, Hail and Buraidah.
In Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Asir, they are planning to do theatrical plays throughout the festive week starring marquee actors of the Arab world and 14 other concerts showcasing the most prominent stars of the region, in which Amr Diab, Abadi Al-Johar, Tamer Hosny and Kathem Al-Saher is included.
The cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be decorated and designed to match the festive occasion, with colourful flags and banners and light displays on bridges as part of this Eid’s “visual identity.”
The programme also offers games for children, child-friendly activities and activities for families, including parades and cartoon characters, traditional folk songs of Saudi and theatre shows, as well as games with gifts and candy prizes, starting at 7 pm until midnight.

According to an official spokesperson from the GEA that this year the authority “aims to raise the manifestations of happiness and joy associated with the celebrations of this great occasion,” and as such, the logo’s harmonious elements of cheerful colours and fireworks were inspired by the pleasure associated with celebrating Eid Al-Fitr.
The GEA, launched in line with Saudi Vision 2030, delivers activities for all parts of society across the country.
