United Arab Emirates: Dubai Police Departments celebrated 51st National Day today, December 1, in the presence of Lieutenant General and Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, accompanied by Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs.
During the event, several other senior officers from the department were also present, along with the principal of GEMS Al Khaleej International School and academic staff, students and parents of the children.
The special event was held at the General Department of Organisations Protective Security and Emergency to celebrate the UAE’s 51st National Day, which falls on December 2 every year.
The Commander in Chief, Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri of Dubai police, stated that National Day is a joyful event to express and commemorate the togetherness and unity of all seven emirates, forming one growing nation.
Furthermore, Lieutenant Al Marri expressed his deep respect towards the country and said that “It’s also a day that symbolises the country’s achievements and progress,”
The ceremony carried out at the GEMS Al Khaleej international school began with a performance of the national anthem by the Dubai Police Musical Band, which police officers and students of the hosting school sang.
As per the reports, the entire event was full of different activities and performances by the police and students of the school. The primarily featured performances were based on a show by the Dubai Police K9 unit, followed by some traditional Emirati performances, including Al Azi and Al Yola.
Moreover, the Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, Al Marri, expressed his immense affection towards the nation, remembering that in 1971, the founding fathers laid the cornerstone of the nation’s prosperity and pioneering.
Lieutenant Al Marri further extended his sincerest congratulations on the prosperous occasion of the 51st National Day to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UA and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE,
along with the Members of the Supreme Council-Rulers of all the Emirates, Deputy Rulers, Crown Princes and all Emiratis on the occasion of the UAE’s 51st National Day.
During the celebration, Al Marri, on the national occasion, said that “the historical celebration of the day every year is a celebration of the grand development march of a great state with leaders, who in a short period, have achieved prosperity and happiness for its citizens and residents”.
He noted that the United Arab Emirates had become a world-class role model for tolerance and security on a global stage. On this day, ”we shall pass love and loyalty to the people of our beloved country and our wise leadership and renew the commitment that we shall remain loyal and honest children of this homeland,” Lt. Gen. Al Marri added.
