Spain: A girl in Spain faked her kidnapping to defraud her elderly mother and steal money from her.
The 30-year-old appears in the video, which she prepared with the help of her partners, to deceive, blindfolded, with fake blood around her mouth, begging her mother to pay a ransom of 43,000 pounds.
As she sobs in the false footage, a woman dressed in black and wearing gloves is shown holding a knife pointing at her neck.
And the daughter said: Mom, they kidnapped me. I don’t know why, you can’t say anything to the police, if you do, they will kill me.
The terrified mother withdrew 50,000 euros from a bank after receiving the video in order to pay for her daughter’s release.
The Spanish Civil Guard investigated the son’s partner, a 30-year-old, who searched his home and found some clues, including a knife and fake blood, as per reports.
They then arrested four members of the girl’s friend’s family for alleged attempted extortion.
This was not the first time that the girl and her partner’s family had tried to blackmail her elderly mother, as she had deceived her mother three previous times with fake messages claiming that her life was threatened.
