Egypt: The Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt, Dr Ashraf Sobhy, has recently expressed his pride and honour regarding the exceptional performance showcased by the Egyptian national team for ‘Mentally Disabled People Mission’ in the World Games in France. 

Minister Sobhy extended his heartfelt congratulations and greeting to the players over a courtesy video conference, boosting their morale for the upcoming games and competitions.

According to the shared reports, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has uploaded an update regarding the congratulatory message extended by Minister Ashraf Sobhy through its official social media handle.

The update read, “Sports Minister congratulates the Egyptian national team for mentally disabled people for their achievements in the World Games in France.”

In addition, Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports, continued a video conference with the players of the Egyptian National Team for Mental Disabilities Mission and participated in the World Games held in France during the period from 4 until June 30 this year congratulate them on their results during the competitions.

It was reported that during his call, the Minister of Sports congratulated and motivated them to present special levels in the remaining competitions for them. He mentioned that they are the pride of nations, and the country looks up to them for bringing pride back home in the competitions.

“Egypt is competing in the championship with 23 players in five games, namely athletics, swimming, table tennis, equestrian and karate,” said the reports. It was also noted that national swimmer Mohamed Gouda received the swimming silver medal in the 100 meters, and the same player received the bronze medal in the 100 meters.

On the other hand, Fatima Al-Sawy got a bronze medal for 100 m diverse. “While in the strong games, the player Omar Alaa got a golden throw, and also the same player got a golden discus throw,” said the reports. Furthermore, Retaj Mohammed won the gold medal in the 50 meters, whereas Fatima Al-Zahraa Mohamed won the gold.

It was also said that Ali Abdullah sealed the Silver medal of the 50th century, while a full moon sword earned a bronze payment. In the end, in table tennis, Marwan Emad received the bronze medal, and the mission is headed by Mr Mahmoud Al-Sheikh, a member of the Board of the Association of Mental Disabilities.
