UAE Ministry urges Caution as Fog threatens low Visibility on Roads

United Arab Emirates: The Ministry of the Interior called on road users to take precautions and follow traffic instructions due to the possibility of fog formation and low horizontal visibility to its lowest levels, sometimes nonexistent in some inland and coastal areas.

The ministry said, through its official account on the X platform, “formerly Twitter,”: “The Ministry of Interior calls on road users to take caution and follow traffic instructions, given the opportunity for fog formation and low horizontal visibility to its lowest levels and sometimes nonexistent in some inland and coastal areas.”

In the same context, the National Center of Meteorology issued an alert about the chance of fog formation and the low extent of horizontal visibility and its lack at times in some western regions, especially the coastal ones, from 23:00 Friday 08/25/2023 until 08:30 Saturday 08/26/2023.

The National Center of Meteorology expected that Saturday will be generally healthy and partly cloudy at times, with low clouds appearing in the east, and humid at night and Sunday morning over some coastal and inland areas with a chance of fog or light mist formation. Winds are light to moderate in speed, sometimes active during the day. 

The winds will be southeasterly to Northwesterly / 10-25, reaching 40 km / h, and the waves in the Arabian Gulf will be light and light, and the first tide will occur at 19:23. The second tide will occur at 04:42, while in the Sea of ​​​​Oman, the waves will be light to medium, which may sometimes become disturbed. The first tide is at 24:15, the second tide is at 18:07, the first tide is at 02:11, and the second tide is at 23:41.
