Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi applauded Iraq’s effort to enrich the territory security and stability, as well as referring to Baghdad’s support of the rounds and negotiations between Tehran and Riyadh.
Raisi made the statements oraq n their phone conversation with the Iraqi Prime Minister ‘Mustafa al-Kadhimi’ and thanked them for the efforts that the Prime Minister made to host the talks among Tehran and Riyadh; as per the reports came from sources.
He added that the Islamic republic has always highlighted the solid and cohesive government and unified society in Iraq.
The Iranian President also noted that his country is prepared for further talks with Saudi Arabia, but only if Riyadh is “ready to restart the talks in an environment of mutual understanding and respect.”
Regarding regional safety and stability, Raisi stated that the nation issues could be solved in case of the extra-regional powers stop intervention in the regional affairs.
He also showed his hope that the Iraqi government would take the lead of the regional startup to raise the siege on the Yemeni people.
According to the al-Kadhimi, it is vital to take the lead to bring the views in regional affairs closer and widen cooperation and coordination in numerous other fields and at all levels.
Furthermore, Prime Minister described the ties between Iraq and Iran as “Distinguished, and Iraq is looking forward to developing these ties.”
The call came a day after Iraqi Foreign Minister ‘Fuad Hussein’ shared words with the Iranian counterpart ‘Hossein Amir Abdollahian‘ on the initiatives to have the fifth round of the conversations in Baghdad.
