Dominica: Castle Bruce Secondary School has advanced to the Under 15 Division of the Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Competition finals after defeating Stock Farm Complex Secondary School on Tuesday, January 24 2023.
As per the recent updates, the officials from Sports Division Dominica shared the news on their official social media handles and mentioned that the under-15 football team of Castle Bruce Secondary School has continued their winning streak throughout the tournament and has secured their place in the finals.
Furthermore, the management of the Sports Division has also stated that the semi-final was played between the Castle Bruce Secondary School and Stock Farm Complex under-15 football teams yesterday, January 24, during which a last-minute goal was scored by the Castle Bruce striker Alison Gasper which finalized their spot in the tournament finals.
The reports have stated that Alison Gasper has made sure that Castle Bruce Secondary advanced to the finals by scoring a powerful shot from just outside the penalty area, which was the shot of the match.
In addition, the team of Stock Farm Secondary School was playing at their best, and the fixture was heading towards extra time with both teams fighting for a goal during the last phase of the match; Alison Gasper grasped the win from the opposite team and resumed their fourth consecutive win for the season.
As per the sources, the shot was taken by Alison Gasper near the penalty area, which took a deflection and eluded the Stock Farm Secondary School’s Goalkeeper for the winner.
The management of Sports Division Dominica had praised Kimani Rodney for his effort, which put Castle Bruce Secondary ahead in the first half before Ajay Bellot, captain of Stock Farm Secondary School, equalized from the penalty spot to go into the half locked at one all.
In the second half, both teams went to each other, searching for the winner. When it looked like extra time would be needed, Alison Gasper came up with the winner to spark the celebration of his teammates and fans who came out to support the school.
