Egypt: The Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad has recently participated in opening of the Cairo International Book Fair in its 54th session as the largest exhibition in Egypt, which hosted a large audience during the event.
As per the updates, Minister Yasmin Fouad addressed that during the exhibition huge audience became part of it, which turned out into an opportunity to communicate with a large number of active audiences directly from all over the Republic of Egypt.
In her remarks, Dr Yasmin Fouad stated that implementing various awareness environmental activities through the awareness team of the ministry wing in the Book Fair was a step towards providing better understanding and education to the people regarding ecological factors.
In addition, Dr Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, participated in the inauguration of the Cairo International Book Fair 2018 in its 54th session, which was opened by Dr Mustafa Madbouli, Prime Minister, which is held this year under the slogan “On the name of Egypt – Together: We Read. Think and We create”.
As per the sources, during the period from January 25 to February 6, the Egypt Center for International Exhibitions in the Fifth Settlement and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will be the guest of honour at the exhibition.
Furthermore, Environment Minister Fouad also checked the branch of the Ministry of Environment participating in the exhibition, confirming that the Ministry aims to raise environmental awareness of all classes of society through direct contact.
During the event, the role and tasks of the Ministry of the Environment and its different sectors were highlighted, adding that the Cairo International Book Fair is one of the largest exhibitions being implemented In Egypt.
It enjoys a huge audience turnout, allowing the opportunity to connect directly with many interacting audiences from all over the Republic.
The reports have confirmed that the events and activities of the Ministry of Environment wing will see the presentation of the Ministry’s initiatives and its various projects through the display screen, including the presidential industry Go Green to raise environmental awareness.
In addition, the activities of the National Solid Waste Management Program, the Eco Egypt campaign to promote environmental tourism, the integration of ecological concepts into the curriculum, the biogas project, and the pigeon project. And nature reserves will also be monitored.
In the end, the National Program for Waste Management in the Ministry also presents success stories of waste management in the four governorates (Kafr El Sheikh – Western – Qena – Assiut), infrastructure projects from intermediary stations, treatment and recycling stations, as well as films related to the program’s activities and initiatives, including the Ante, Be the Start initiative to replace used oils, Entrepreneurship Gear Initiative and Clemthon, and Taros Initiative Waste Law No. 1 and its objectives.
