The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain has recently shared an update regarding the visit of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to a healthcare centre to take a booster dose of (Pfizer-Biontech) vaccination.
According to the shared information, The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, Dr Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa indicated the level of awareness and willingness to take up vaccination among members of the Bahraini community.
On her part, The Minister of Health, Dr Jaleela Jawad Hassan, noted that the Kingdom had achieved advanced centres at the regional and international levels in the field of vaccination coverage.
In addition, Dr Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa stressed the importance of taking routine and approved vaccination doses, either against seasonal influenza or COVID-19 vaccination and its new mutants.
He further extended his remarks and stated that taking the appropriate dose of vaccinations contributes to boosting immunity and enhancing prevention measures against moderate and severe symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) and its accompanying Complications, especially for certain categories of patients and the elderly.
Furthermore, he also pointed out a high confirmation of the level of awareness and willingness to take up vaccination among members of the Bahraini community, which contributed to making the Kingdom of Bahrain a leader in the field of necessary coverage ratio for vaccinations.
This came during the visit of Dr Jaleela Jawad Hassan to the Higher Health Center to take the booster dose of the developed anti-coronavirus vaccine (Pfizer-Biontech) and its new mutants in accordance with the established and announced protocols that contribute to boosting immunity.
Notably, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health noted that the National Medical Team for Addressing Coronavirus is keen to keep up with all global and international developments, as all decisions made are periodically reviewed in favour of procedures and preventive measures that protect the health and safety of all members of the community.
