Iraqi PM meets Presidencies to discuss national issues

The meeting of Iraq’s presidencies was held with the active participation of the Prime Minister of Iraq Mohammed S. Al-Sudani. Other dignitaries present in the meeting were the President of the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Avdul Latif Jamel Rashid, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mr. Mohammed Al-Halbousi, and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Mr. Faiq Zadian. Meeting aimed to discuss dovelopment projects of iraq.

In the meeting, discussion on the most recent development of the country was discussed. These developments include political and security matters as well as the overall situation of the country.

Before starting the meeting, all recited the Surah Al-Fatihah to remember and to pay obeisance to the victim of the marriage fire tragedy that happened in the Al-Hamdaniya district.

They also expressed their condolences and sympathy to bereaved families and victims with hope for a fast recovery of the victims.

The meeting went deep into the comprehensive discussions on the fire incident, including its causes. All the leaders stressed providing necessary support and assistance to the family and individual victims as soon as possible.

The recent visit of the Prime Minister of Iraq to New York, United States of America and its outcomes were also discussed.PM visited USA New York City to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He holds many bilateral and multilateral meetings with counterparts of different nations. Metting also highlighted the Global attention received by Iraq and the commendations of the Iraq government’s efforts to improve security, stability,and commitment to sustainable development plans and goals.

Iraq’s significant role in facilitating cooperation and dialogue among the regional nations was also acknowledged in the meeting.

The leaders in the meeting also underlined the importance of supporting the government in the implementation process of government programmes, delivery of timely services to the general public, and restarting infrastructure projects in the different parts of Iraq.

These projects include the electricity sector project, and  the construction of hospitals and schools,improvement efforts for the roadways and railways, bridges,fostering the private sector and promoting investment projects etc.

Furthermore, all the presidencies vowed to start joint operations against corruption. All the presidencies rejected any kind of aggression directed against Iraqi terrortiry.

They said that such actions pose a serious threat to security and stability both within in country and Negihbuoring region of Iraq.

During the meeting,a proposal was discussed concerning the possibility of granting special amnesty to females and juveniles, excluding those accused of serious crimes. Moreover, presidencies extended their congratulation to the educational community and students at the beginning of the new academic year, expressing hopes that this academic year will be full of success and joy as previous years.
