The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government of Iran on Monday rejected unfounded allegations that it had a role in the massive assault on Israel by the Hamas of Palestine. The spokesperson, Nasser Kanani, said accusations against Iran are politically motivated.
It is to be specifically mentioned that senior members of the terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah of Lebanon stated that Iran approved theattack on the Israeli territories. According to these members, the meeting was held in Beirut on last Monday.
Moreover, According to these officials, officers of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had worked with Hamas since August to make a plan to attack Israel through the the air, land and sea routes.
But Iran’s mission to the United Nations specifically denied Iran’s government role or any kind of involvement in the recent attack on Israel carried out by Hamas, which has already caused more than 1,000 deaths so far and started a new phase of war between Palestinians and Israelis.
Iran’s UN mission in New York said, “We emphatically stand in support of Palestine; however, we are not involved in Palestine’s response, as it is taken solely by Palestine itself “in a statement released on Sunday.
“The strict measures taken by Palestine constitute a wholly legitimate defence against almost long-lasting seven decades of oppressive occupation and heinous crimes committed by the illegitimate Zionist regime against the innocent Palestinian,” it added.
The media in the United States has accused that it was the Iran that was trained the attackers since August and giving the Hamas a the green light for its execution.
According to sources in the United States of America, Members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard have been involved in training the Hamas for planning attack and carrying out the attacks on Israel, which have cost the lives of a large number of people on both the warring sides.
On the contrary, there is no official statement from the US government regarding the direct involvement of Iran in Israel-Palestinian conflict, which started on the morning of Saturday.
In a significant development despite denying its role, the Iranian government celebrated the attack on Israel with fireworks and congratulatory messages were circulated on social media, lending support to the “legitimate defence” of the Palestinian people.
A few weeks ago, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei posted on social media that “the Zionist regime is a cancer in the Middle East region that is about to be eliminated by the Palestinian people.”
The Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel are known as strong enemies, posing a grave threat to one another; the rivalry is for establishing regional hegemony and involves waging a subtle war with cyber attacks, assassinations and sabotage against each other.
To expand its regional influence, Tehran extended direct or indirect support to groups such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, the Palestinian movement Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Houthi rebels in Yemen.
