Petra University of Jordan Announce “STEP” program

The University of Petra Jordan, announced the step program. The program will be Organised with the collaboration of the SPARK organisation and the business development centre. The Islamic Development Bank and the Abdulaziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund will provide Financial assistance for the successful organisation of this STEP program.

The purpose of this program is to provide skill training to the student. As technological advancement has increased the demand for a skilled workforce, this program will be very beneficial. Moreover, in the present time of artificial intelligence, a large number of people are at risk of losing their jobs.

The organiser of the program also described that the university is always keen to take steps for students that will make them ready for the job market. They call this STEP program also a step further in this direction.

University authorities, while disclosing the details of the program, said that the STEP will have  three-year tenure. Moreover, there will be the provision of three months of practical training. Students will be eligible to avail of the facility of monthly allowance under this program as well.

Other data also stated that free one-month training prior to the course will also be provided. After the completion of the training and fulfilling the requirements of the course, a certificate of participation will be conferred on the participating student.

Students who want to join this program must fulfil the following criteria:

  1. He must be a citizen of Jordan
  2. Age of the student must be between 18 to 24 years
  3. Only those candidates will be eligible who are not working and looking for job in the public or private sector
  4. He should be graduate in the final year of graduation
  5. Must be able to communicate in the English and Arabic language

University administration also encourages young females to apply for this program.
