Egypt: The Minster of Environment, Yasmin Fouad, has recently shared an update regarding the Successive Stations built by the Ministry of Environment to explore investment opportunities in nature protection within the framework of the Prime Minister’s guidelines.
According to the reports, Environment Minister Fouad added in her remarks, “Dubai to South Sinai and Jordan, supporting environmental investment is a priority for the Egyptian state, which is being taken very seriously by the government of Egypt and Environment Ministry.”
The reports confirmed that Environment Minister Yasmin Fouad and Governor’s head to the Jordanian capital, Ahmed Al-Ansari, pledged to support investment in Fayoum governorates. In addition, the investment is closely monitored under the framework of the Prime Minister’s country’s directives to support environmental and climate investment.
Furthermore, during this period, to provide investment packages in the areas of climate change, biodiversity, nature reserves and integrated waste management, today Dr Yasmin Fouad, Minister of Environment, and Dr Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, headed to the Jordanian capital, Oman to explore investment opportunities in the field of reserves Nature responds to the call of Her Royal Highness Princess Alia bint Hussein to place a brick of cooperation between the two countries in the field of nature protection.
In her remarks, Dr Yasmin Fouad explained that the Egyptian and Jordanian sides would seek ways to invest in and preserve nature reserves by establishing a wild zoo in cooperation with Jordan and engaging the private sector similar to the fantastic park in the Jordanian Sanctuary.
The ways to invest in the nature reserves hold a motive to encourage ecotourism based on the conservation of wildlife while integrating local communities in Natural Resources Conservation Operations, Nature-base due based and conservation investment projects are among the most important tasks that promote ecotourism globally apart from traditional ecotourism activities based on marine activities such as snorkelling,” Minister Fouad noted.
Notably, during the visit, Dr Yasmin Fouad, the Minister of the Environment and the Governor of Fayoum held several meetings with Jordanian officials and a field visit to the Nature and Wildlife Sanctuary located in Al-Jarash Governorate in northern Jordan to learn about how the wild park was created along with its management style, and mechanisms of integration of the local community in its maintenance and the incentives provided to engage its sector.
In the end, the minister concluded that It is worth noting that the Minister of Environment and Fayoum Governor have held their first meetings with those responsible for protecting Jordanian Shelter at Amman Airport.
