Saudi Arabia: Yesterday, Thursday morning, a student sustained an amputation of part of her finger because the classroom door in the school bounced on her hand.
The father of the student Shumua Mahmoud Arishi, who studies in the fourth grade of primary school in one of the primary schools affiliated with the Samtah Education Office, south of the Jazan region, explained that his daughter was seriously injured in the amputation of part of her finger because of the classroom door. He considered this a negligence and negligence in the safety tools and demanded that an investigation be opened into the case and that his child be treated in an advanced hospital capable of urgent finger restoration.
The student’s father revealed the medical procedures that were decided for her after the amputation incident, stressing that King Fahd Hospital in Jazan decided to perform a surgical operation to amputate part of the damaged bone and beautify the finger next Sunday.
According to the incident report prepared by the school, on Thursday, at the beginning of the second class, the student “Candles” stood at the entrance to the classroom, so the door bounced on her hand, injuring one of the fingers of the right hand.
At the Season General Hospital, accompanied by the guard, his wife and the agent, the rest of the procedures were done in the hospital, and the student’s mother was contacted and informed.
For its part, the General Administration of Education in the Jazan Region confirmed that it would complete the necessary procedures against the background of the accident that a fourth-grade student was exposed to, which led to the amputation of part of her finger.
The administration said: With our wishes for a speedy recovery for our student daughter, The General Administration of Education in the Jazan region followed up on the student’s health condition at the time. Where the school provided first aid by the health director, then it was transferred to the Season General Hospital, which in turn referred it to King Fahd Hospital, while the “Jazan Education” completes the administrative and educational procedures applicable in such cases.
