Minister of Health receives global honour

Bahrain: Dr Jalila, the daughter of Mr Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, received a global honour, and commendation from His Excellency Dr Tedros Adhanoum Gibrysos, the Director General of the World Health Organization, for her efforts in the field of vaccinations, as this honour was a quality addition to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This came when the Director of the World Health Organization was honoured this evening, Thursday, October 6, by a number of members of the Advisory Committee (SAGE) of the WHO held in Geneva, who praised the presence of the Minister of Health in this world committee, noting that Dr Jalila Bint A Syed Jawad Hassan has clear contributions and efforts in Various health spheres have played a good role through committee membership in supporting international health cooperation, citing its extensive experience and pointing to be chaired by several WHO advisory teams over the past years, as well as being an expert in the consulting expert team Ari the WHO’s immunization strategy since April 2015.

The Director General of the World Health Organization explained that the role of this Committee is pivotal. Since its formation, it has proven its effectiveness in addressing various health challenges, especially during pandemics at various stages, appreciating the importance of the role of this Committee in facilitating and implementing the plans drawn in the publication Health development in all countries of the world.

Dr Tedros stressed the importance of continuing research work in these committees and cooperation with experts and consultants, explaining that WHO supports experiences and works to encourage competencies and maximize the recommendations and information issued by the Expert Committee Meeting SAGE held in Geneva, expressing its wishes for the new president and new members Good luck in their next mission.
