Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan, announces free Integrated treatment for seniors at University Hospital

Sultan bin Muhammad said, in a telephone conversation on the “Direct Line” programme on Sharjah Radio, that he had heard the complaint of “Umm Khaled”, who has health insurance, is the mother of an employee in the Sharjah government, and she complained about the fees she pays, and His Highness directed to cancel her health insurance card, and it will be Transferring her treatment to the senior citizen system at the University Hospital.

On the other hand, Abdulaziz Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority, confirmed that, in implementation of the directives of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, the Authority will provide the option to return to the previous insurance at the University Hospital in Sharjah, for those who wish to be senior citizens registered with the “Sharjah Social”, who were transferred to the Sharjah Health Insurance after The decision to include the insurance “the category of the parents of the citizen employee”, and we will send them text messages to apply for replacement insurance according to their desire.

Afaf Al-Marri, Head of the Social Services Department in Sharjah, confirmed that we have directives from His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, to pay special attention to senior citizens, and we are coordinating with “Sharjah Health” to reinsure previous insurance at the University Hospital for everyone who desires, not to incur any material costs, and to respond to their desire. Not to be treated in other hospitals, and we are continuing to provide vehicles, in cooperation with the police, to transport them to receive the necessary care in all hospitals in the country.

For his part, Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, confirmed that, in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, we worked to provide a crew to transport senior citizens to receive treatment.

During the past year 2022 5 thousand and 400 cases were transferred, and during the first half of this year the transfer 3 thousand and 778 cases to various hospitals in the country. He urged everyone who has a case not to hesitate to contact the Sharjah Police General Command to provide the service.
