Egypt: The Minister of Social Solidarity, Nevine el-Kabbaj, has recently witnessed the opening of the works of the first phase of Bahia Hospital in Sheikh Zayed in the presence of the Chairman of the National Council for Women, Dr Maya Morsi and other public figures.

Egypt: The Minister of Social Solidarity, Nevine el-Kabbaj, has recently witnessed the opening of the works of the first phase of Bahia Hospital in Sheikh Zayed in the presence of the Chairman of the National Council for Women, Dr Maya Morsi and other public figures.

On her part, Minister Kabbaj noted that “The entire Egyptian community supported “Bahya” to achieve her dream, and Egypt has a strong civil society characterized by science and study.” “We took the educational and health equal opportunities grants and contributed to cover the costs of treatment, especially for mothers, children and first families in care,” she added.

In addition, Minister of Social Solidarity, Nevine el-Kabbaj, witnessed the opening of the first phase of the new Bahia Hospital in Sheikh Zayed of the Bahia Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer.

 

The opening was attended by Dr Maya Morsi, Chairman of the National Council for Women, Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Abroad Affairs, and Dr Ahmed Al-Sabaki, Chairman of the General Health Care Authority, and India Abdul Halim, Deputy Governor of Giza, and Livif is a public figure.

The cap and attendance checked the first phase of the hospital and checked out the advanced equipment inside it, the services it offers, and the clinics for early detection and surgery and receiving treatment, said reports.

“The new hospital is built on a land area of 30,000 m2, allocated to the Bahia Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer by a decision of the Cabinet. The hospital consists of 8 with a floor, ground and three repeated roles with a total area of 2 thousand m2. The foundation stone was laid in November 2020, completed Foundation and concrete structure work in 3 days,” added reports.

Moreover, Kabbaj also noted that all the building work and facades were completed, as well as the first phase was completed in 15 days. The first phase of my early detection unit consists of 20 sonars, two mammogram devices, detectives, and surgery and chemotherapy clinics. The opening phase also consists psychiatric support department, and warfare activities department, and necessary administrative rooms.

Phase two is expected to open by the end of 2023, which includes operating rooms, accommodation, emergency, intensive care, laboratories, pharmacy and diagnostic radiology departments.

The Minister of Social Solidarity confirmed that the Bahia Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer was able to turn pain into hope and hope into work, considering that Bahia is not just a hospital. Still, the entire Egyptian community also supported Bahia in achieving her dream.

Kabbaj added that the Ministry of Social Solidarity took educational and health opportunities as the priority in care and contributed to covering the costs of treatment, especially for mothers, children and families under the poverty line, especially that investing in health prevents families from falling into poverty.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity said that the Ministry feels a community responsibility towards health first care and that Egypt has a strong civil society that knows what it is doing. 

It has become a more scientific study and calculated the rules of sustainability, noting that the Ministry not only provides financial support but also cares about the health and education of children, who During the Conditional Cash Support Program “Solidarity and Dignity”.

El-Kabbaj explained that the Ministry is keen to support medical services in medical institutions that contribute to treating children, women and families of the disabled. 

Over the past three years, it has supported 23 “government and family” hospitals at the cost of more than 200 million Egyptian pounds through Nasser Social Bank and the General Institute for Social Cooperation.
