Egypt: The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, United Arab Emirates (UAE) President at the Federal Palace. The Egyptian delegation and President greeted him during his visit at the official reception.
According to the Presidential spokesperson and advisor Ahmed Fahmy, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi welcomed his brother, Egypt’s dear guest, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the President of UAE.
He affirmed Egypt’s pride, a government and its people, in the relations between the two sister countries and their close historical ties.
For his part, the President of the UAE, Bin Zayed, expressed his appreciation for Egypt, its people and leadership, and the UAE’s constant keenness to foster the distinctive fraternal relations between the two countries, said the spokesperson, Fahmy.
During the meeting, the two presidents discussed distinctive ways to develop mechanisms and frameworks of cooperation in all spheres, including to benefit both nations’ people and to coordinate various regional developments.
They further emphasized that Emirati Egyptian cooperation and coordination represented fundamental support to consolidate regional security, stability and development.
It was also stated that the meeting also discussed an exchange of views on the most critical files proposed in the regional and international arenas, where discussions reflected mutual understanding on ways to deal with these issues.
Following this, both Presidents agreed to continue to make joint efforts, to enhance cooperation, coordination and solidarity between Arab countries, to face growing challenges at all levels.
Moreover, “President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, where the welcome ceremony was held, the guard of honour was reviewed, and the national anthem was played,” said Fahmy.
During the meeting, Bin Zayed, the President of the UAE, expressed his country’s appreciation for Egypt, its people and the leadership, and the UAE’s keenness and interest to strengthen cooperation relations between the two countries. He stated that UAE appreciates both countries’ longstanding relationship and looks forward to enhancing it even more.
The meeting also focused on exchanging views on the most prominent files in the regional and international spheres, where the discussions reflected a mutual understanding of ways to tackle such issues.
In the same context, it was agreed to continue joint efforts to strengthen cooperation, coordination and solidarity among the Arab States to meet the growing challenges at all levels.
