Dominica: Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica – Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has issued an update regarding the launch of the ‘Build Back Equal’ Project in the country on Monday, June 5th,2023.
The project was launched by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Social Services in association with the United Nations (UN) Women and United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA).
According to recent reports, Prime Minister has taken to his official social media handle to share the information with the residents and citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica. He addressed his fellow Dominicans regarding the project and noted its significance in the nation’s development and growth.
Meanwhile, through his Facebook account caption, PM Skerrit shared the information and noted that “The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Social Services, in partnership with United Nations (UN) Women and United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), launched the ‘Build Back Equal’ Project in Dominica on Monday.”
In this regard, Prime Minster also expressed his emotions and happiness regarding the launch of the project and emphasized that the project would benefit the nation in a significant manner. Furthermore, he extended his remarks while extending the updates and addressed that the ‘Build Back Equal’ project will be imposed in a number of countries of the Caribbean region.
He noted that “The project is being implemented in Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines with funding from Global Affairs Canada.” He mentioned that the project would introduce a number of aspects and be advantageous for women in all the Caribbean countries where the project will be implemented.
Additionally, the Prime Minister of the Caribbean country, Roosevelt Skerrit, has also asserted that women will further receive exceptional benefits in many fields.
He stated, “The 4-year joint project will contribute to the economic resilience of women in the Eastern Caribbean by addressing the barriers they face to economic empowerment and providing increased sustainable opportunities for growth and independence.”
