United Arab Emirates: The Dubai Police has recently extended the Nominations Deadline for the World Police Summit Awards for the final entry to January 15. To the teams and individuals, and peers wishing to get nominated, the department reminded them to submit their entries before the extended deadline.
As per the sources, the Brigadier and director of Excellence and Pioneering at Dubai Police and Chairman of the World Police Summit Executive Committee, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al Mualla, confirmed that the World Police Summit Awards works to recognise all the outstanding and extraordinary achievements in every facet of policing and law enforcement.
Furthermore, the officials from Dubai Police have stated that “The World Police Awards Summit will crown the individuals and teams who have made substantial contributions to transforming and enhancing the operations related to the police departments, organisational excellence, scientific achievements, and community relations over the past one year,”
On his part, Brigadier Al Mualla explained that there would be seven categories which will be featured in the award summit such,
The Good Samaritan Award:
They are designed to recognise outstanding individuals from the public community who have contributed exceptionally towards preventing or solving a crime, enhancing public safety, or offering a helping hand to those in need and eventually saving their lives.
The People of Determination Excellence Award:
This award recognises the accomplishments of potential men and women in the global policing and law enforcement departments for their notable professional achievements despite their physical challenges.
The Inspiring Female Officer Award:
The inspiring female officer award represents the feats achieved by women in the policing and law departments from all over the globe, who show the spectrum for their leadership and other skill sets at work. The work has had a substantial positive impact on their department, and they strive for continuous growth both personally and professionally.
The Excellence in Forensic Science Award:
Recognises teams within global police forces, drug enforcement agencies, research institutions, and academia who have spearheaded ground-breaking scientific methodologies and research programmes to solve crimes.
The Excellence in Anti-Narcotics Award:
The awards in Anti-Narcotics recognise the best anti-narcotics and drug awareness programmes of global police forces, drug enforcement, and public health agencies that have substantially impacted the reduction of narcotics supply or a decline in substance use across societies.
The Excellence in Criminal Investigation Award:
The Criminal Investigation Award will be presented to those who have achieved accomplishments of exceptional criminal investigation teams from the global police forces who have implemented remarkable strategies for solving complex crimes and tracking criminals.
The Innovative Police Force Award:
Recognises global police forces and law enforcement agencies who have spearheaded innovative methodologies, technologies, and research programmes to solve crimes or enhance the force’s operational capabilities.
Additionally, Brigadier Al Mualla said that the jury of the award summit would announce the shortlisted candidates and individuals in each category on February 27. He added that finalists from the event would receive an invitation with complimentary tickets and a package to stay in Dubai during the summit.
About the World Police Summit 2023:
the first award summit held under the supervision and leadership of the Vice President and Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the forum’s second edition will now be hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 7 to march 2023.
As per the sources, the award Summit is famously known as the world’s most influential sitting of law enforcement agency officials, security experts, and decision-makers.
The summit will also feature multiple joint meetings and an international exhibition that will showcase ground-breaking technologies and explore actionable strategies to ensure a safer future.
Moreover, through more than 150 targeted sessions in Dubai’s World Trade Centre, this year’s edition will advance policing techniques to serve communities in today’s world, focusing on several main themes, including:
