The Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Dr Amr Talaat, has participated in the events of the ministerial meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for Digital Economy.
As per the reports, Dr Amr Talaat took part in the meeting and stated in his speech that the MCIT ministry would cooperate with the International Community towards implementing and making all the strategies function in the National Artificial Intelligence project.
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology officials have conveyed that the Egyptian authorities have shown great interest in playing their part in the Cooperation with the international community, which would make all the implementations in the artificial intelligence programs.
Furthermore, recent updates have shown that it will be a project which would include various parties such as the international community along with the Cooperation of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development for Digital Economy and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as well.
On the other hand, at the Arab and African levels, the chairmanship of the Arab Group and African Group Work Team AI to transfer the Egyptian experience and develop regional views on artificial intelligence policies.
The ministry officials stated that It is a crystal clear fact that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), have set its national priorities and goals towards achieving new heights in making all the necessary artificial intelligence projects function properly all over the country.
During his participation of Dr Amr Talaat in a ministerial discussion session, his statements also included the important principles that the organization of the Economic Cooperation and Development of Artificial Intelligence has mentioned, along with its impacts on politics at the international level.
Furthermore, the events of the OECD Ministerial Meeting of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development for Digital Economy, held in the Spanish Canary Islands under the theme “Driving recovery and long-term economic growth by building a digital future that is safe, sustainable and inclusive” Assembly of ministers and government officials from 20 countries around the world.
Additionally, the efforts of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development for the Digital Economy (OECD) have been recognized and noteworthy as the important role they play in the overall growth of the IT sector.
Along with the growth, they also stressed the significant research and studies that helps the government to have accurate data to compare and tackle challenges.
In the end, two projects were submitted under the Qatar program for Cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Digital Economy Development; among them was a project related to artificial intelligence by MCIT.
