United Arab Emirates: The Dubai Police Force Department shared a special update where the officials presented a Kyrgyz tourist with her precious watch, which she lost one year ago worth AED 110,000, along with her other valuables.
As per the sources, the information was uploaded on the official social media account of the Dubai Police Force Department today, January 7th, as the lost and found Department represented by the Dubai Police returned the wearable worth AED 110,000 to the lady which she lost during her visit a year ago to the United Arab Emirates.
According to the General Department of Criminal Investigation sources, the tourist had lost her watch in a hotel room before she headed to the Dubai Airports to catch her flight a year back.
In addition, while she was on the road, she only noticed that she was missing her item after a traffic accident after returning to her country.
By the time she assumingly accepted that she must have dropped her precious watch somewhere during the incident resulted by which, the tourist did not file a report to the Dubai Authority.
Furthermore, the Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, Major General Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, conveyed in his remarks that the Department received a report from one of the hotels claiming that a Kyrgyz tourist had left her precious watch behind. The authorities then collected the wearable and tried to contact the owner but weren’t successful in it.
Moreover, as per the officials from the Criminal Investigation Department, “We couldn’t reach the owner straightaway since the number left at the hotel registration was that of a travel agency.
During further investigations, we got hold of her contact information and immediately attempted contacting her through her phone number and social media account, yet to no avail,” he confirmed.
Nevertheless, a year passed, and the Kyrgyz owner revisited the country and was surprised by the General Department of Criminal Investigation with the long-lost watch during a recent visit; and expressed gratitude and thanks towards the extraordinary work done by the investigation authorities.
In his end notes, Major. General. Al Jallaf confirmed that the Dubai Police is keen to perform their duties and responsibilities in restoring the rights to their owners and exerting all efforts to ensure the happiness of the emirate’s visitors, residents and citizens. Visiting tourists is among their best priorities, said officials.
The tourist, who had given up on seeing her precious and valuable watch again, was taken aback by this found and extended her gratitude to the police with extreme happiness. She extended her overwhelming thankfulness to the officers of the investigation departments for their special efforts.
