Islamabad, Pakistan: The protesters in the area of Gilgit and Baltistan have been unrest which has become a matter of concern for Pakistan as they have been demanding to get united with India, per Islam Khabar.
The ongoing protests in the areas of Gilgit and Baltistan have been ignored by the leading media houses in Pakistan as, except for the province of Punjab, all other regions have shown interest and started some time back to get united with India and separated from Pakistan, said reports.
As per the updates, after such demands of getting separated from Pakistan, the people of Gilgit and Baltistan have shown interest and demanded to unite with the neighbour country. According to sources, getting united with India can prove detrimental to Pakistan’s standings regarding the entire dispute in Kashmir.
Furthermore, when the dispute of Kashmir gets discussed in global events, it is likely to cite the protests against Pakistan by the people of Gilgit and Baltistan, as India has not yet responded regarding the developments officially, reports noted.
According to the reports, Pakistan has been wanting the independence of Jammu and Kashmir, which is under the control of India and blaming it for human atrocities, whereas, on the other hand, India has been standing firm on its stand of claiming Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as an integral part of India.
Moreover, the chaotic issues and disputes related to Pakistan-controlled Kashmir have been highlighted by the Indian Government, media houses along with social activists regularly, including the protests over military oppression, high inflation, unemployment, lack of basic rights and unsustainable resource exploitation, among others.
In addition, the Pakistani media has been ignoring the demands and protests in the region of Gilgit and Baltistan. The Government of Islamabad may have yet to realize or think that such an insistence on unification may come up.
In the end, there was a video released by the protestors in which disputed slogans can be seen against the Pakistan government and army with the demands to annexe the Kargil region, which falls under the Indian Ladakh region, said Islam Khabar reports.
