Jordan: Jordanian Minister of Environment, Dr Muawya Al Radaidaida, met with the Chairman and Members of the Council of Decentralization of Irbid Governorate to discuss the aspects of coordination and mutual cooperation between both administrations.

Jordan: Jordanian Minister of Environment, Dr Muawya Al Radaidaida, met with the Chairman and Members of the Council of Decentralization of Irbid Governorate to discuss the aspects of coordination and mutual cooperation between both administrations.

According to the reports, the news was shared through the official social media handle of the Ministry of Environment. Minister Muawya further added that the governorate Council is the closest and most knowledgeable of the needs of citizens, specifically regarding the environmental, service and development issue.

The Ministers emphasized and confirmed the radiance of the meeting. Furthermore, during the meeting, both authorities aimed at the importance of building partnerships with all parties involved in environmental and community work, in particular the provincial councils, for their active and holistic role in implementing projects that meet the needs of citizens.

Moreover, reports confirmed that the Ministry is working tirelessly on expanding the spaces of eco-parks to impact society from an investment and social aspect positively and doing a great service in the citizen’s relationship with forests and the environment in general.

The Environment Minister, Muawya, refers to the necessity to accelerate the ways of cooperation with the Irbid Governorate Council and by establishing a real partnership capable of establishing and implementing sustainable environmental development programs.

The cooperation between both administrations will benefit all the people of the province. It has been assigned to the National Forestry Project, launched by the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, to plant ten million trees in the next five to ten years, calling on the provincial council to participate in the success of this national project actively.

There is a need to intensify efforts made by all stakeholders in the province to counter the phenomenon of random disposal of waste, especially in forests, parks, public places and tourist sites, and the need to focus on spreading the culture of recycling and proper dealing with it.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Irbid Governorate, Mr Mounir Ghraiba, paid great attention paid by the Ministry of Environment in implementing ways of joint cooperation with decentralization councils to achieve the mentioned developmental and service variable, following sustainable national visions and expectations in the field of environmental protection, specifically in relation to the creation of national parks, public parks and tree planting Waste stealth management, in proportion to the nature of the area.

Additionally, the most important environmental challenges faced by Irbid Governorate, the sufficient ways to meet these challenges, and the role of the Ministry of the Environment is an inspiration and effective role in humiliating many of them.

The Ministry of the Environment plays a vital role in the field of awareness programs for school students in many subjects, especially regarding waste management, recycling and utilization, and rationalizing energy and water consumption.
