Pakistan: A minor Hindu girl aged 17-year-old, a resident of Naukat, Mirpur Khas district, was kidnapped and converted to Islam in Sindh province of Pakistan.
According to her family, the girl was abducted from the market of Naukot on February 15, where she went with her younger brother to purchase vegetables and other household products.
In addition, she kept getting taunted by one Rouf, a resident of Umerkot, along with his two from the past few times and took the girl forcefully on February 15 away with them.
Furthermore, the father of the kidnapped girl, Ramesh Bheel, confirmed that the police of Naukot only made the entries in the missing person records and had not filed the FIR against Rouf and his alleged friend.
Moreover, Bheel added that the police officers stated that the girl must have left herself with Rouf of her own will and that the family should have patience and wait another week before registering any kidnapping case against the accused.
As per the reports, Police officials from Naukot police station called the father of the abducted girl on February 19 and gave him a copy of the certificate dated February 18, mentioning that the girl had embraced and accepted Islam of her own free will. Additionally, officers also said that the girl wilfully changed her name after conversion.
Meanwhile, according to the police inspector of Naukat Police Station, “The girl has confirmed in a telephone call about her acceptance of Islam and stated that she desires to reside with Rouf’s family in SamandKhala, Umerkot.”
As per his statement, the girl’s father now fears that he may not meet her daughter anymore as she will be married to her kidnapper when in three months, she will be an adult.
