DOHA: Iran’s foreign minister meets Hamas leader

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amirabdollahian, met Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of Hamas in Doha. Before this meeting, the Foreign Minister Met many High-ranked officials. During the meeting, many other top leaders of the Palestine Resistance Movement were also present. They discussed differenrt aspects of ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.  

 At the meeting, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian expressed tribute to the Palestinian martyrs, especially those who lost lives in the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. He said, “There is no doubt that the Palestinian nation and resistance will be a winner on the battlefield.” He also added that the Zionist regime has almost collapsed, and the definitive outcome of the ongoing war will be nothing but the decisive victory of the Palestinian nation and resistance movement.

Iranian diplomat emphasised that the region is at the juncture where crucial decision-making is necessary. Iran’s Foreign Minister also warned that if the war crimes of the Zionist regime continue and the scope of conflict and war expands, no party will be immune from its implications and consequences.”

Accusing the USA, the Foreign Minister added that despite advising others to exercise self-restraint, the US government is actually a party to the war and is also guilty of war crime. The Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs underscored the recent support votes of the countries of the world for Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly session, as well as the Huge anti-Israel demonstrations and gatherings of people in various countries of the region and world.

 Additionally, FM added that these huge protests indicate the peak of global hatred towards the Zionist regime and their crime. The Iranian minister of foreign affairs also apprised Hamas leader Haniyeh and other political officials of the Hamas movement on the diplomatic efforts being taken by Iran at the regional and international levels and the United Nations, as well as with initiatives at the level of Islamic countries in support of Palestine to end the war crimes of the regime Zionism and to end the inhuman blockade of Gaza Strip.

Hamas leader Haniyeh, for his part, talked about the latest developments in Gaza, especially the uncontrolled crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the Gazans. He said: “War of Al-Aqsa draws the pages of the pride of Palestine and the Islamic Ummah.”

Haniyeh said: “We express our and that of the Palestinian nation’s heartfelt gratitude for effort of Iran to bring Normanalcy in the region, especially in Gaza.” The head of the political bureau of Hamas added that the Palestinian resistance at present is at the peak of its power and authority”.

He said  instead of enhancing peaceful relations with the resistance forces, the occupying regime continues to have on its agenda the launching of attack on Palestinian citizens. The amount of explosives used against the citizens of Palestine is greater than the amount of the American atomic bomb in Hiroshima, he added.
