In a meeting between Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and United Nations Envoy for the Middle East Tor Wennesland, Iran warns of intervention. It sent a strong message to Israel through the medium of the United Nations to stop the attack against Hamas. The meeting took place in Beirut.
According to two top diplomats familiar with the matter disclosed this development. They added that Iran is clear on its stand. If Israel continues to carry out deadly attacks, Iran will left with no option except to intervene in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
United Nations Envoy to the Middle East urged Iran to Prevent the spread of conflict in other parts of the region. There are confirmed reports of an attack by Israel On other neighbouring countries. Israel attacked the suspected camp of Hezbollah in Lebanon as well as launched an attack in Syria at Damascus airport and aleppo airport.
On another side, Iran’s FM Abdollahian made it clear that we have our own red lines, and if Israel crosses the red lines by launching the ground invasion in Gaza, then we have every right to intervene in the war against the Israeli defence forces. According to him, Israeli are killing Innocent, unarmed Palestinians now.
UN special envoy for the Middle East, Tor Wennesland, emphasised the need to normalise the situation and the need to stop the killing of innocent civilians.
It is to be specifically added that the UN’s special envoy, Tor Wennesland, called on the national security advisor of Israel and conveyed to him the message of Iran.
Commenting on the meeting, the UN spokesperson said that the main agenda of the meeting was to discuss diplomatic efforts to free hostages from both sides, secure a humanitarian corridor for aid to Gaza, and prevent a spillover of the crises in other parts of the Middle East region.
Moreover, the Iran side also warned that if “war crime and genocide” targetting the Gazans is not halted, then there is every possibility of its spillover to other parts of the region.
It is noteworthy that Iran’s FM is visiting different countries of the region and holding meeting with top leadership of respective countries.
He recently visited Lebanon and met Hezbollah leader and Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s representative. He also visited briefly to Damascus as Israeli attacks on Damascus and Aleppo Airports which left both the airport out of operation.
