The Deputy Minister of Tourism and Archaeology, Mr. Ghada Shalaby and a representative in the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activism, Mr. Amr Al-Qadi participated in the Arab Summit for Tourism and Travel (ATM), held in the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during the period from 1 to 4 May 2023.
According to the shared updates, the Egyptian wing participated in the meeting was inaugurated by Mr. Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Archaeology Affairs, Major Khaled Fouda Governor of South Sinai, Mr. Amr Al-Qadi, Executive Chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activism, and Ambassador Sharif Isa, Ambassador of Egypt to the United Arab Emirates.
The reports have stated that the Egyptian wing has seen a great turnout by itinerates and airlines working in the Egyptian market to attend the meeting with their counterparts from the Egyptian side.
Deputy Minister of Tourism and Archaeology Ghada Shalaby began her meetings, which she will hold during the series of the meeting with representatives and officials of tourism companies and international hotels to research ways to enhance joint cooperation and attract more tourism movement arriving to the Egyptian tourist destination from different countries of the world.
She specifically emphasized on the tourism attraction from the Arab market. She also held several media meetings with Arab and international media representatives, during which she highlighted the Egyptian tourist product and its diverse and unique tourist and archaeological sites.
Professor Amr Al-Qadhi also held a meeting with representatives of the Saudi Tourism Authority to discuss the aspects of joint cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia in the field of tourism. Professor also held a number of professional meetings with itineraries and airlines to explore ways of cooperation by organizing joint promotional campaigns in order to push tourism to Egypt, this in addition to holding press briefings.
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ghada Shalaby and Mr. Amr Al-Qadhi, also held a meeting with representatives of Qatar Airlines and a Qatari company working in the field of tourism, where ways of cooperation with Qatari Airlines were discussed in far-off markets such as Latin America, South and East Asia markets, as well as research the implementation of joint promotional campaigns and promotional trips to the destination ‘THE EGYPTIAN TOURIST’.
It is noticeable that the area of the Egyptian wing participating in the meeting is 30 m2, which was designed in the same way as the design of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and is shared by 36 exhibitors from Egyptian tourism companies and hotels, as well as Egypt Airlines, Air Cairo and Nessma Airlines.
