Egypt: The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has recently received Ammar Al-Hakim, the President of the Iraqi Wisdom Stream Amar Al-Hakim, along with his accompanying delegation in the Cairo governorate.
President, Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed gratitude of being part of the meeting while talking over the essential concerns related to both countries. The meeting discussed several matters of mutual interest between Iraq and Egypt and was attended by several Egyptian Ministers and government officials.
According to recent information, the spokesperson of the Egyptian Presidency, Ahmed Fahmy, has taken to the official social media handle and stated that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi extended greetings to the Iraqi representatives and welcomed them at the meeting.
The sources further noted that the meeting was conducted in the presence of Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Major General Abbas Kamel, Chief of Public Intelligence, and Ambassador Ahmed Al-Dilimi, the Iraqi Ambassador to Cairo.
In addition, it was stated that the meeting was a fruitful step taken by both nations to strengthen their diplomatic relations.
Advisor Ahmed Fahmy, Presidential Spokesman, stated that President El Sisi affirmed the appreciation of the deepness of the brotherly relations between Egypt and Iraq at the official and popular levels.
Furthermore, the meeting also aimed at discussing Egypt’s concern for the safety, security and stability of Iraq, and supporting its efforts to achieve renaissance, development and progress, within the framework of Egyptian’s permanent interest in all that achieves the benefit of Iraq and its people.
The reports also outlined “In this regard, the constructive role that the Iraqi President of the Wisdom Stream “Amar Al-Hakim” plays in maintaining stability and balance in Iraq.
On his part, the President of the Iraqi wisdom stream expressed his appreciation for the model of good leadership represented by the Egyptian President at the local, regional and international levels.
He also stressed Egypt’s role as a pivotal focus and key guarantor to preserve stability in the Islamic and Arab region as a whole, assuring that Iraq looks forward to continuing to strengthen the close historical relations that bind the two sister countries.
He mentioned that the relationship between both countries is based on the foundation of solidarity and brotherhood, expressing his country’s appreciation for the Egyptian effort in supporting Iraq and his country’s keenness to benefit from the Egyptian development experience in all spheres.
The official added that the meeting aimed at reviewing the Iraqi political landscape, as well as discussing key developments of regional situations of mutual interest.
