The Minister of Local Development, Major General Hisham Amana, has inaugurated the technology centre and inspected a healthcare unit, a model farm, and a Chinese craft products exhibition in Sheikh Zayed Governorate.
On his part, Minister Major General Hisham Amana stated that “A qualitative shift is expected in development efforts in North Sinai during the coming period and continuous improvement in the level of services and livelihoods of citizens.”
The reports have stated that Major General Hisham Amana, Minister of Local Development, concluded his visit to Northern Sinai Governorate, which lasted for two days, to inspect and inaugurate a number of investment plan projects in the governorate’s centres.
During his visit, he was accompanied by Dr Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Major General Muhammad Shousha, Governor of North Sinai, and members of the House of Representatives, Elders, and Eng. Mohammed Al-Sayed Saeed, The Minister of Local Development for Planning; Dr Hisham Al-Halbawi, Assistant to the Minister of Local Development and National Projects; and a number of leaders of the Ministry of Local Development and Planning.
The Minister of Local Development also inspected an exhibition of Sinaawi crafts and heritage products organized by the Community Service Association in the village to provide employment opportunities for women in the village and neighbouring villages.
The Minister pointed out the support of the Ministry of Local Development for all the heritage handicrafts characterized by the Egyptian villages and governorates and their protection from the insurgency.
“Providing all the necessary support to small producers and publishing some products on the platform “Ayadi Misr” launched by the Ministry to support heritage crafts,” said the ministers.
Following this, the Minister of Local Development, the Minister of Planning, and the Governor of North Sinai inspect the products of some model farms in the village and follow up on the production of one farmer on the ground during the harvest of some vegetables and fruits.
Major General Hisham Amana opened the Technology Centre to serve citizens in Sheikh Zayed Centre and City and the Centre for issuing licenses for public shops located in the Centre, where the Minister of Local Development, the Minister of Planning and the Governor of North Sinai listened to an explanation about the mechanisms of the workflow of the Centre.
On his part, the Minister of Local Development confirmed that the Ministry would coordinate with the Ministry of Planning this month to meet all the demands and needs of the people of North Sinai during the coming period regarding the projects of the investment plan for the next fiscal year achieving the improvement of services in various sectors.
Major General Hisham Amna thanked President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi for all efforts made to develop Sinai and make a real shift in living standards for citizens, especially after the sacrifices made by the armed forces and police and the sons of North Sinai.
The Minister of Local Development referred to the assignments of Mr President of the Republic to formulate a strategic plan for the comprehensive development of North Sinai Province with the participation of the ministries and the respective state destinations to contribute to bringing real development to this precious spot of the country.
The Minister of Local Development explained that over the past years, the Egyptian state had made a great effort with all its equipment to fight terrorism, cleanse Sinai of terrorism, and work in parallel to implement many giant and unprecedented development projects.
“The projects worth hundreds of billions have been implemented under the reign of His Excellency President Sisi since 1903 until now,” he added.
Major General Hisham Amna also emphasized the importance of the role played by the elders and minds of North Sinai and all citizens in supporting the efforts carried out by state institutions and ministries in various spheres.
The spheres ultimately fulfil the vision of political leadership in the development and construction of the governorate land in all centres and cities.
