Ajman Bank provides its customers with Google Pay service

Dubai: Ajman Bank, listed on the Dubai Financial Market, announced the Google Pay digital payment service provision to its debit and credit card holders via smart devices running Android and WearOS.

Dubai: Ajman Bank, listed on the Dubai Financial Market, announced the Google Pay digital payment service provision to its debit and credit card holders via smart devices running Android and WearOS.

The bank pointed out that the “Google Pay” service is a digital wallet and payment platform from Google that will enable Ajman Bank customers to conduct payment transactions from anywhere using Android and WearOS devices in all stores and online. To start using Google Pay, cardholders must store credit, debit or prepaid card information on the Google Wallet app.

Google Pay allows customers to checkout and make secure, fast, and convenient purchases anywhere, whether in stores (where contactless payments are accepted), through apps, or online.

Faisal Kandil, Head of Retail Banking at Ajman Bank, said: “This cooperation between Ajman Bank and Google Pay is an important step in our endeavour to provide a convenient and secure digital payment experience for customers who prefer to pay using their phones and smartwatches. It also reflects our commitment to providing innovative services to simplify customers’ daily lives and provide a seamless banking experience.”

To start using Google Pay, customers will need to update their device software, download the Google Wallet app from the Google Play Store, and enter their card details either manually or by scanning the card. They will also need to enter a one-time passcode (OTP) to verify their identity before they can start using this feature.

The “Google Pay” feature has multiple levels of security and protection, including standard coding according to prevailing standards, ensuring that transactions are conducted using a virtual card number (token) specific to the device and linked to a dynamic security code that changes with each transaction. Moreover, in the event of loss or theft, customers can use the Find My Device function to lock their device from anywhere instantly, secure it with a new password, or erase it from their personal information.
