Emirati woman Dr Muna Abdul Razzaq Tahlak created history, she became the first Emirati (Arab) woman who have been elected as the president of the International Hospital Federation. Her name was announced during the World Hospital Congress held in Lisbon. She has been working with the International Hospital Federation for the last seven years.
She also remained the Executive Director of Medical Affairs at Dubai Academic Health Corporation, Vice Chancellor of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences for Medical Affairs and Executive Director of Latifa Hospital for Women and Children during her brilliant past tenure.
Dr Muna Tahlak, talking on his election, expressed her gratitude for the support of the wise leadership and said: “I extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to our wise leadership for its steadfast commitment to empowering Emirati women who achieved success in high-level roles in different field of career”.
Additionally, she added “This victory not only underscored the progress gained by Emirati women but also reflects the unique status of the health sector in the Emirates. I and my all Emirati colleagues are proud to represent the Emirates at this international forum. We will work to continue the process of developing the International Hospital Federation with our global experience.”
It is to be specifically mentioned that During her work with the International Hospital Federation over the past seven years, Tahlak underlined the excellence and success of the hospital sector in the United Arab Emirates and displayed the experience and contributions of Emirati women in this field on a global stage.
Dr Amer Sharif, Executive Director of Dubai Academic Health Foundation, while congratulating Dr. Tahlak on her well-deserved selection as President of the International Hospital Federation, praised her exceptional leadership, experience and valuable contributions to the healthcare system in UAE and beyond.
