Egypt: The Minister of Tourism and Archaeology of Egypt recently held a press conference to announce the details of the work of the Pyramids Exploration Project “Pyramids Residents,” under which the archaeologists have found a discovery of the Grand Pyramid of Giza, said reports.

According to the reports, the archaeologists have come across the discovery of the Gamalouni corridor on the northern face of King Khufu’s pyramid, 9 meters long. In addition, several top government officials have confirmed their stand on the discovery and issued statements.

On his part, Minister of Tourism and Archaeology, Mr Ahmed Issa, stated that “The Egyptian state is keen to preserve Egypt’s monuments and its great urban heritage. Continuation of work and scientific research using advanced and safe technological methods to uncover more secrets of the ancient Egyptian civilization.”

Furthermore, Dr Zahi Hawas took it to convey that “Today’s revelation is the most important in the 21st century.” Dr Mustafa Waziri commented, “The coming months will tell us what is behind this passage.” Lastly, Dr Hani Hilal also conveyed that “Modern technology transfers scientific research in the field of archaeology to wider horizons.”

The Minister of Tourism and Archaeology, Mr Ahmed Issa, also confirmed that “From in front of the pyramid of King Khofu the Great, the only remaining wonder of the ancient seven wonders of the world, and amid international and local media coverage.

Moreover, during a global press conference, Tourism Minister also announced “the details of the results of the work of the pyramids exploration project “Scan Pyramids”, where the Gamaloni passage on the north face of the King’s pyramid was revealed. The largest khoufu, 9 meters long, and 2.10 meters wide.”

The reports confirmed that the conference was attended by Dr Zahi Hawass, former minister of archaeology; Dr Hani Hilal, minister of higher education and scientific research and coordinator of the Scan Pyramids pyramid exploration project; Dr Mamdouh Damati, former minister of Archaeology; Dr Khaled Al-Anani, former minister of tourism and archaeology, and Dr Mustafa Waziri-General Secretary of the Supreme Council of Archaeology and Dr Mohammed Al-Khasht University Cairo, Dr Hossamuddin Abdel Fattah, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.

Additionally, Mr Ahmed Obaid, Assistant to the Minister of Tourism and Archaeology for Sector Affairs, Dr Tayyib Abbas, Assistant to the minister of tourism and archaeology at the Grand Egyptian Museum, Mrs Yamna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister of Tourism and archaeology for artistic things, Mr Ashraf Mohi.

General Manager of the Pyramid Archaeological Area, members of the International Scientific Committee and a staff team The Pyramids Exploration Project “Scan Pyramids”, Dr Issa Zidane, Executive Director for Restoration and Transfer of Artefacts at the Grand Egyptian Museum, and a number of leaders of the Ministry of Tourism and Archeology and the Supreme Council of Archeques was also present.

Mr Ahmed Issa started the conference with a welcome speech, noting that the pyramids of Giza attracted the world’s attention to Egypt for thousands of years and are still under view until they became a distinctive and essential element of the mental image.

Meanwhile, talking about Egypt or tourism in it, noting that the Giza pyramids are The most important and prominent monuments in the world, was and remain the dream of hundreds of millions worldwide, said the Tourism Minister of Egypt.

Notably, Mr Ahmed Issa emphasized the interest of the Egyptian state, a representative in the Ministry of Tourism and Archaeology, in the interest of preserving Egypt’s monuments in various historical eras, preserving its great civil heritage, studying it and revealing its secrets.

Dr Zahi Hawass confirmed that today’s discovery is important, describing it as the most important scientific discovery in modern times and 21st century Egypt, inside King Khofu.
