Jordan: The Vice President of the Hashemite University for Planning and International Communication Affairs, Dr Mohamed Masha’ala, met a delegation from the Education Development Center (EDC).

The delegation included author Lawrence Goldman, Dr Samir Barhoma, Business Development Expert Dr Helilin Boli, the presence of Dr Faisal, Al-Mahmoud, Director of the Center for Studies, Consulting and Community Service, and Dr Mahmoud Al-Samadi, Dean of Academic Development and Raed Al-Khawaldah, Director of Community Service Development Office.

As per the reports, the two sides researched ways to promote joint cooperation on the topics of higher education, scientific research, creativity, capacity building and participation in bridging the gap between the industrial, service and academic sectors and the possibility of holding online learning courses and providing experiences in capacity building, professional development and training.

From Jabneh, Dr Mashala welcomed the cooperation and participation with international organizations to enhance the quality of higher education, opening up training opportunities and qualifications and promoting applied scientific research.

He further added that Hashemite University is keen to strengthen international relations and partnerships with higher education institutions and professional institutions in line with the strategic direction of the University. It is stated that the University participates in many international projects in different countries of the world.

Moreover, the Center for Education Development (EDC) is a global non-profit that offers lasting solutions to improve education, promote health and expand economic opportunity, Goldman said.

It works in the field of designing, implementing and evaluating programs in capacity building, professional development, training, technical assistance, policy advice, information documentation, research, analysis, conducting qualitative and quantitative studies, and improving education, health and economic opportunities worldwide with a focus on vulnerable and disadvantaged populations.

The delegation also visited the Science Market Preparation Center and heard from its Director, Dr Ibrahim Mansour, about the goals, aspirations and activities of the Center.
