India: Raymond Duda – The Assistant Director of the International Operations Division of the United States’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), arrived in New Delhi, India yesterday, 18 April 2023, aiming at advancing the FBIs cooperation with Indian law enforcement.
The United States Embassy in India has welcomed the FBI Assistant Director of International Operations, Raymond Duda, with a warm greeting to India. The agency took to its official Twitter handle to extend greetings to the FBI personnel regarding his visit to India.
The Embassy wrote in a tweet that AD Duda will be joining the Indian authorities to extend cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
According to the sources, Raymond Duda was appointed Assistant Director of the International Operations Division of the FBI last year. Before that, he had served as assistant director at the US Intelligence Agency, said a statement released by the FBI.
Furthermore, AD Duda joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a special agent in 1991, after which he was given the responsibility to work on detecting bank and insurance fraud along with other white-collar crimes in North Carolina’s Charlotte Field Office.
Moreover, he was transferred to the Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force in 1995. During his service, he was involved in the investigations of violent crimes. Following this in 2005, he was promoted to Task Force Supervisor and the head of Charlotte’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in 2008.
Meanwhile, Eric Garcetti, United States Ambassador-designate who took over in the position last week, extended his warm greeting and welcomed his guest in India. He arrived in India and met with Embassy members yesterday, 18 April 2023.
Indian Embassy tweeted on the arrival of Garcetti and noted, “Namaste Ambassador Eric Garcetti, it is a pleasure to host you to Incredible India and looking forward to working with you to strengthen even more ties between India and the United States.”
On 15 March, the Senate confirmed the former mayor of Los Angles, Eric Garcetti as the new US ambassador to India. He won the mandate by the margin of 52 to 42, a victory for the President of the US, Joe Biden.
