Jordan: The Hashemite University of the Kingdom of Jordan signed a cooperation agreement in the pharmaceutical field with Al-Asra Pharmacy Company. The aim of the agreement signed was to prepare a virtual simulated pharmacy for practical training for pharmacy students and medical colleges in the building of the Faculty of Pharmacy Sciences at the University.
The agreement was signed by the Vice President of the University, Dr Khaled Aboaltin, and the company’s general manager, Dr Ramzi Al-Kharisha. The attendees of the signing ceremony included the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr Sajja Hamed; the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr Jamila Aboudhail; the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Murad Al-Hawly; and the Director of the Pioneering Center for Medical Care Management, Dr Muhannad Odeh.
According to the update shared by the University, the agreement stated that a simulated and miniature pharmacy will be set up for family pharmacies in the Kingdom for the purpose of training students in dealing with prescriptions, medicines and cosmetics, as well as personal skills to deal with the public.
Reportedly, during the signing of the agreement, Dr Aboaltin affirmed Hashemite University’s keenness to document cooperation and network with various private and public sectors in all spheres in order to provide training opportunities to university students.
Dr Abu Al-Tain explained that this agreement contributes to providing training opportunities for students of medical and health colleges at the University to improve college education output in line with the requirements. He further noted that the pharmacy will provide awareness services about medicines and treatments to student reviewers, university staff and community members.
Dr Al-Kharisha further confirmed that the training pharmacy will provide exemplary training to pharmacy students in Jordan, noting that the pharmacy will provide specialized training and qualify them to gain practical experience, hoping that the agreement will achieve the practical goals that meet the scientific and practical needs of both parties.
