Middle East, Egypt: The Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El Saeed, participated in International Commercial Bank and GLAM ceremony to distribute the sustainability award in Cairo yesterday March 21, 2023.

According to the shared updates, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development of Egypt, Hala El Saeed, attended the event at the International Commercial Bank Women’s Initiatives Network Sustainability Award ceremony in collaboration with GLAM Group of Women Ambassadors.

In addition, the award ceremony was organized to distribute the Sustainability Award in the presence of the Ambassador of Colombia in Cairo, Mohamed Sultan, the Commercial Bank Executive Director of the Operations Sector at the International Trade Bank and a number of ministers and ambassadors, said reports.

As per the latest reports, the ceremony witnessed the honour of Rawya Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ramco Construction and Construction of Eco Villages, for her role in entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ramco construction stressed in her speech and pointed out the vital role of Hala El-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, extended thankfulness to the Women’s Initiatives Network at the International Commercial Bank for their efforts and holding an award ceremony.

Moreover, congratulations were in order to Rawya Mansour on her achievements in empowering women through climate action, assuring that this will create double and tangible impacts across Egypt, reports noted.

As per the sources, El- Saeed also said that it’s important to have a new generation of women’s rights advocates and recognize them, following that women’s dedication and energy are indeed what we need, adding that the more people are invested in their talents, the more it will cause lasting impact.

Additionally, El-Saeed also took it to stress the need to focus on collecting strong gender-classified data on sustainability, saying that such data will contribute to improving the evaluation of the implementation of national climate action policies and programmes and develop and plan risk and disaster reduction policies responsive to societal type.

It is noteworthy that in the end, El Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, emphasized the importance of continuing to promote a favourable environment for women’s economic empowerment, a sustainable, fair and fair environment.
