Bahrain: HM Jaleela Hassan heads meeting of National Committee for Combating Smoking and Tobacco

The Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr Jaleela Jawad Hassan, has recently participated in a meeting of the National Committee for Combating Smoking and Tobacco of its Types and Products in the country.

Kingdom of Bahrain: The Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr Jaleela Jawad Hassan, has recently participated in a meeting of the National Committee for Combating Smoking and Tobacco of its Types and Products in the country. 

The Minister also chaired the discussion in the presence of the other members and expressed her greetings for them to be part of the initiative.

According to the recent updates, Health Minister Dr Jaleela Jawad Hassan took it to confirm that the attention to move forward in drawing plans, strategies and programs aimed at combating smoking and tobacco of all its types and products and reducing its spread in the community.

In addition, the programme has been working in order to contribute and provide measures to the protection of the health and safety of members of the community from the risks and effects of smoking and tobacco and its consequences on health, said the Minister.

Furthermore, this came during the meeting of the National Committee for Combating Smoking and Tobacco of its types and products, in the presence of representatives of ministries and official bodies in the Committee. 

During the meeting, it was also confirmed that the members of the Committee had taken necessary steps to moderate the use of such substances under the supervision of Health Minister Hassan.

The reports have conveyed that at the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Health welcomed all the members and thanked them for their fruitful and distinguished efforts, which had contributed to the presentation of many initiatives and achievements and initiatives.

She further assured keenness to continue building on those efforts in contributing to achieving the goals mentioned earlier. Health Minister Dr Jaleela Hassan then reviewed the agenda, which was approved, as credited by the former meeting attendant.

During the meeting, the decisions and preferences of the last meeting of the National Committee on Tobacco, Its Types and Products were discussed. 

The Committee discussed the National Guidance Guide to Tobacco Shipments and E-nicotine Products, the proposed communication strategy for anti-smoking activities, and the proposal for celebrating World Tobacco Day was reviewed and discussed among members where. It has been agreed that several events, including various stakeholders, will be held.
