Saint Lucia: “I pledge to continue fight for all women,” says Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire

Castries, Saint Lucia: On the auspicious occasion of International Women's Day yesterday, 8 March 2023, Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, addressed the nation and extended warm wishes and congratulations to the all-women of the country while acknowledging their inevitable role in the society.

Castries, Saint Lucia: On the auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day yesterday, 8 March 2023, Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, addressed the nation and extended warm wishes and congratulations to the all-women of the country while acknowledging their inevitable role in the society. 

According to recent reports, Deputy Prime Minister of the Caribbean country Ernest Hilaire reached out to the residents and citizens of the nation through his official social media handle on the propitious instance of International Women’s Day. 

In his Facebook caption, Deputy PM noted, “On the occasion of International Women’s Day, I do wish all women in Castries South and the entire country a wonderful day!”

Meanwhile, in his address, Deputy PM Hilaire also pointed out the general challenges and hurdles which the women of Saint Lucia have to face on a regular basis, along with being the ultimate source of power and strength for all mankind. 

The women in society hold a supreme and inevitable place to keep everything in harmony alongside keeping the right balance between the two entities, whether in the family or outer world, he added.

In addition, The Minister of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information, Ernest Hilaire, also acknowledge the need and requirement of noticing and appreciating all the efforts that women put in to better the lives of their loved ones around them. 

Meanwhile, He added, “I pledge to continue the fight for all women and to close the gender gap. Some of us, because of our upbringing, know the strength of a woman.”

Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia further extended his remarks and cited that through the power and strength of the women, many things remain smooth as we have lived it, protected by it and succeeded because of it.”

Additionally, while appreciating the part played by the Saint Lucian women along with others across the world, he also addressed the will to overcome challenges that they possess with bearing pain and suffering themselves. 

In his caption, he wrote, “Every day, I am reminded of the struggles of women and witness the resilience to overcome the challenges that they face.”

Moreover, while sharing his remarks through his Facebook caption, Deputy PM took it to pass his deepest respect and admiration towards the women of society and said, “I am inspired by so many women who work with me and support me. Let us continue to fight for all, building a better society.”
