Bahrain: Health Minister Jaleela Hassan putting efforts to control pests spreading

Bahrain: The Minister of Health of the kingdom of Bahrain, Dr Jaleela Jawad Hassan, has recently shared that the Ministry is continuously coordinating and partnering with relevant authorities to reduce and control the spread of insects in the country.

Bahrain: The Minister of Health of the kingdom of Bahrain, Dr Jaleela Jawad Hassan, has recently shared that the Ministry is continuously coordinating and partnering with relevant authorities to reduce and control the spread of insects in the country.

According to the reports, under the supervision and leadership of Health Minister Dr Jaleela Hassan, the Ministry has been taking essential and required steps to keep the spread of insects and mosquitoes in check in the lake regions of the Kingdom of Bahrain in association with the other ministries and government bodies.

Furthermore, the Health Minister emphasized the importance of such actions and their necessity while addressing that “It confirmed its continued efforts to coordinate with relevant authorities to reduce the spread of insects.” In her remark, she also stated, “Taking immediate measures by spraying insects and mosquitoes in the lake region.”

Moreover, following the rumour about the spread of mosquitoes in the Lakes Region, the Ministry of Health confirms that it is keen to continue its efforts in coordination with stakeholders to develop plans that contribute to limiting the spread of insects and mosquitoes, especially in the seasons of their outbreak.

Additionally, the Ministry explains that the specialized teams have taken the necessary actions and measures urgently to be observed and noted, as the Ministry’s Malaria and Insect Control Group has been combating flying insects and mosquitoes in response to requests from citizens and residents of the area using special sprayers and pesticides.

The Ministry of Health points out that the Department of Environmental Health in the Ministry is continuously following up and coordinating with relevant authorities to reach the sources of insect and mosquito reproduction and find the best solutions for disposing of them.
