Roseau, Dominica: The Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau Central Constituency of Dominica, Mellissa Poponne Skerrit, has greeted the people on the occasion of Good Friday through a congratulatory Facebook message.
According to the update, Melissa Poponne Skerrit reached out to her fellow Dominicans and extended her best wishes through her official social media handle. She noted in her Facebook caption that many people were gathered on the special occasion at the stations of the crosswalk from Roseau to Morne Bruce.
Furthermore, while wishing the people Good Friday, she mentioned that the people of the Commonwealth of Dominica might learn from the teachings and sacrifices of the Lord Jesus and give a better direction to their life. In addition, she also encouraged the citizens to follow the pathway enlightened by the almighty.
Meanwhile, it was also said that people could take inspiration from the life journey of the Lord Jesus and apply the holy traits throughout their lives to remain on God’s path.
Moreover, the special instance of Good Friday leads to a historical event connected with the life of Lord Jesus, where he was put to death by being strangled on a cross.
Even though the incident led to the death of the Son of God, it still has a meaningful cause behind it which is carried forward among humanity today, which is a perfect reflection of paying the price for others’ sins.
